A superb classic specimen of 'paper' Calcite on Quartz with Dolomite from Wheal Friendship, Tavistock, Devon. A specimen displaying a central core of prismatic colourless gemmy to translucent white Quartz measuring to 5.8cm. Crystals of Quartz are mostly over grown by creamy inter grown crystals of saddle habit Dolomite crystals, which are in-turn associated with metallic yellow micro-crystals of Pyrite. Excellent thin white platy 'paper' Calcite form an open inter grown crystal crown atop the specimen. A fine specimen from the mine (closed in 1925)
