ID: CC3738

Well developed crystals of Calcite richly cover a Galena matrix from the Earl Ferrer's Mine, a small 'trial' near Stanton Harold, Leicester. Gemmy lustrous colourless to translucent scalenohedral Calcite measuring to 1.2cm, many are double terminated. The crystals of Calcite have formed over a matrix of skeletal bright silvery grey Galena. An uncommon location.
