This specimen consists of a rich carpet of lustrous transparent Calcite rhombs (to 4mm) coated with an even distribution, in the areas mineralised, of micro Malachite crystals and spherules of Duftite, both c.1mm. The mineralisation runs at 60/40 in favour of Malachite. Despite the numerous Calcite crystals there is, remarkably, no damage. Fascinating under magnification but pretty to the naked eye also.
