Cassiterite

ID: CC2404

Sharp well developed crystals of Cassiterite are clustered atop of this pleasing miniature specimen. The Cassiterite crystals are lustrous black  to 1.3cm, with striated faces, some exhibiting twinning. The matrix is Quartz Greisen with further bands of Cassiterite. A great specimen of Cassiterite from the classic Sauberg Tin mine, which closed in 1990.
