An excellent Cornish specimen of Cassiterite with well developed crystals. The specimen comes from the major Tin mining area of St. Agnes, Cornwall, renowned area for producing Cassiterite specimens. An added note is that many of the mines just to the east of St. Agnes worked particularly low angle lodes rich in tin. The specimen we have has a top surface richly adorned in euhedral crystals of lustrous deep brown Cassiterite measuring to an average of 4-5mm tall. The Cassiterite crystals are associated with deep green crystalline botryoidal Chlorite, and translucent prismatic Quartz crystals. The matrix is a milky dense Quartz veinstone. An enjoyable specimen of Cassiterite from one of the Cornubian Peninsula's classic locations
