Cassiterite

ID: CC4143

Excellent sharply formed highly lustrous black crystals of Cassiterite from United Downs near St.Day, Cornwall. Specimens of Cassiterite were discovered when the mine site was being stripped for a municipal rubbish dump. The specimen we have from this short lived find displays many crystals of Cassiterite measuring to nearly 5mm on a light brown killas with drusey colourless-white Quartz.
