Cassiterite on Quartz

Lots of well formed crystals of Cassiterite measuring to 3mm are concentrated on the prism faces of milky white Quartz crystals. The lustrous Cassiterite crystals are coloured from gemmy rich amber to opaque deep brown, some crystals displaying V twins. A great specimen to study under the hand lens from the St. Agnes mining district, Cornwall.
