Excellent well formed lustrous deep dark brown crystals of Cassiterite measuring to 1.1cm are abundantly inter grown with bundles of needle crystal of black Schorl, on a light Granitic matrix. A specimen from Old Beam Mine. Records of the mine date back to 1813, late worked as a China Clay Pit. The mine was a dangerous place to work, due to the soft nature of the ground, and was heavily timbered. A rich Cassiterite specimen from the mine.
