Micro-crystalline deep sky-blue druses of the rare copper arsenate Yvonite richly coat a vuggy matrix of mixed Arsenopyrite and Bismuth. This specimen is from its type locality at the opencast gold mine at Salsigne, Mas-Cabardès in Carcassonne, France.  Yvonite is a secondary mineral formed from mine dump material at this gold-bearing arsenic sulphide deposit.  A rare species and an excellent example from this mine which closed in 2004.
