An elongated geode lined with small colourless and semi-transparent Calcite crystals from the area around Pau, Aquitaine, in southern France.  About seven larger Calcite crystals have grown in roughly parallel alignment within the geode, the largest of which is a splendid 2.5 x 1.8 x (about) 1.2 cm.  These larger crystals are colourless and gemmy with a brilliant glassy lustre and complex crystal structure.  A beautiful and showy cluster of Calcite crystals in geode form which displays very well.
