A large, heavy display specimen composed entirely of intergrown Cuprite crystals from Inca de Oro in CopiapĆ³ Province, Atacama Region, Chile.  Translucent, cherry-red crystals grow to around 5 mm and are typically between 3 to 5 mm across; some can exceed this.  The specimen is built from many hundreds of such crystals and has the typical patina of Cuprite between deep cherry-red and grey-silver with a bright metallic lustre.  Occasional patches of creamy-white Calcite adhere to the specimen and at one end, a small cluster of Copper occurs as crude crystals.  A wonderful Cuprite from the Atacama Region of Chile.
