Fluorite with Siderite

A terrific specimen of intergrown gemmy, smoky teal blue cubic Fluorite crystals from the Boltsburn West mine at Rookhope in Weardale, County Durham, England. The Fluorite crystals measure to 1.2 cm and are richly encrusted with dark chocolate saddle-shaped Siderite crystals. The Siderite appears to have crystallised contemporary with the Fluorite within the vein system-replacement flats because some of the crystals are partly embedded within the faces.
