A charming small miniature of white grading to light cornflower blue Baryte crystals with chisel terminations and measuring to 1.7 cm long. This is a fine and characteristic Baryte from Jedová Hora in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. This ancient mine was begun in the 14th century and worked an Ordovician iron-mercury deposit, finally closing in 1917. A rarely seen location in mineral collections, nicely represented by this great bi-coloured Baryte. The specimen is accompanied with the previous collector’s label.
