A quite remarkable large cabinet specimen of solid crystallised Scheelite forming intergrown octahedral crystals from the Yaogangxian mine in Yizhang County, Chenzhou, Hunan Province, China. This heavy, ex-matrix specimen is a mass of translucent burnt golden-orange pyramidal crystals with edges up to and exceeding 5 cm in length, some of which become semi-transparent in areas where the colour intensifies. Under short wave ultraviolet (SWUV) light the Scheelite fluoresces bright cream to snowy-white. An outstanding specimen of Scheelite that will look superb on display under white light or UV. Please note there may be an additional postage charge due to the weight of this specimen.
