The iron oxyhydroxide mineral Goethite was once abundant at the Restormel Royal Iron Mine close to Lostwithiel by St. Austell in Cornwall, but aesthetic specimens are few and far between.  This example is truly superb and would make a excellent addition to any collection.  Silky radial fan-like sprays of bronze and gunmetal-grey colour-zoned Goethite completely envelope the specimen making it highly displayable from any side.  A true Cornish classic and very beautiful!
