A neat display of Cuprite variety Chalcotrichite forming two bright red nests of capillary crystals displayed in a cavity measuring to 1.3cm x 1.2cm, with a further cavity on the back edge of the specimen with Chalcotrichite. Several more cavities in the Quartz-Goethite gossan have dark maroon to red crystal aggregates of Cuprite. From South Caradon Mine, St. Cleer, Cornwall. The specimen comes with an old F. H. Butler label pre-1887.
