An old 19th-century specimen of Chalcotrichite from the South Caradon Mine, quite a late development of a copper deposit in Cornwall. Specimens of Cuprite-Chalcotrichite are very seldom seen on the mineral market. The specimen we have to offer displays a near solid massive Cuprite with many cavities lined with acicular crystal networks of the Chalcotrichite variety of Cuprite. The outer surface of the specimen has a thin zone of mixed white to blue-green Chrysocolla/Malachite with tiny crystals of emerald green Brochantite, and possible black Tenorite.
