A choice miniature of sour-apple-green Pyromorphite crystals in a stacked cluster from the San Andrés mine close to the town of Villaviciosa de Córdoba, in Andalusia, Spain. The Pyromorphite from this locality can take on this rather unusual shade of green and to one side, and beneath the outer skin of the crystals, the colour changes to a very unusual milky-lime green, reminiscent of a creamy lime milkshake. The crystals are developed to 10 x 6 mm, have hoppered terminations and are highly lustrous. The pyromorphite zone within the San Andrés mine is in extremely weak ground and since these specimens were collected during the 1980s and 90s, the workings have totally collapsed. A very nice Pyromorphite from this well known locality in Spain.
