This brightly coloured acidic orange-zesty lemon Mimetite with Wulfenite hits you in the eye the instant it is seen and is just one of those stand-out specimens! A small cabinet specimen of predominantly Mimetite, forming as spherical crystal aggregates of between 5 and 8 mm diameter, piled on top of one another to form a botryoidal druse over a contorted granular and vuggy Quartz matrix. Overgrowing the Mimetite are broad blades of similar-coloured Wulfenite, the largest crystal reaching 1.7 cm across. Do please note some of the Wulfenite crystals are damaged, but these do not detract from its overall magnificent aesthetic. A superb Mimetite with Wulfenite from the San Francisco mine, (also known as the Cerro Prieto mine) at Cucurpe in Mexico.
