Asprières, a commune in the Villefranche-de-Rouergue area of southern France, is well known for its beautiful Pyromorphite which takes on many habits and colour variants.  This superb miniature is completely free of matrix and its high density is an instant reminder that it is a lead bearing mineral!  Vivid acidic lemon-lime green botryoidal crystals stack to form an undulating, mamillated and lustrous specimen.  A splendid French Pyromorphite of delicious colour, habit, and rare location.
