A highly vuggy matrix of light biscuit Limonite staining cream Baryte is heavily coated with limey-apple green Pyromorphite forming a botryoidal layer with a minutely crystalline surface. This eye-catching cabinet specimen is from the Su Zurfuru mine in south western Sardinia, Italy, an uncommon and rich specimen from the mine. The Pyromorphite also forms shell-like crusts which in some cases appear to be epimorphs, but of uncertain origin. It is a rich and handsome Pyromorphite whose surfaces are frosted with a most attractive matt, velvety texture.
