From the type locality of Azurite, another Chessy classic in the form of a delightful Malachite pseudomorph after Cuprite.  These sharp octahedral, vividly coloured crystals shout out their location of Chessy-les-Mines, in the former commune of Le Bois d’Oingt, Rhône-Alpes, France.  As normal, the specimen is matrix-free and in this case is an opaque, rich emerald-leaf green containing black flecks and dendritic black ribbons on some faces.  A charming and terrific Malachite pseudomorph after Cuprite.
