Szenicsite with Powellite

A large and impressive specimen of the rare mineral Szenicsite, a copper molybdate, from the type locality at the Jardiniere No. 1 Mine, Chile. Areas of the specimen display very lustrous rich green platy cleavages of Szenicsite in areas measuring to 7cm x 4cm. Several cavities on the specimen display terminated crystals of Szenicsite some with gemmy yellow to yellow-green crystal coverings of Powellite on a matrix of white Quartz with silvery-grey Molybdenite. A very fine specimen from the mine.
