The Berezovskii deposit at Ekaterinburg in the Middle Urals of Russia is the type locality for seven species, Crocoite being one. This is a striking specimen and excellent example because the lustrous red-orange Crocoite crystals richly fill a clearly defined Quartz vein, of uniform 2.5 cm width, that cuts through the surrounding matrix.  Patches of siskin-green powdery Pyromorphite are scattered across the matrix.  The Crocoite crystals attain 1.1 cm in length, are sturdy and well protected and richly populate the vein.  A classic and splendid example of Crocoite from its type locality.
