ID: CC11903
A single, off-matrix blocky Azurite crystal with a little attached Calcite and very slight partial alteration to Malachite in two tiny patches.  This Azurite is so typical of the magnificent crystals Tsumeb became so famous for, and even now after the mine being closed for 20 years, the Azurites remain arguably the best in the world.  This specimen has a broad chisel pointed-tip, which measures 12 mm deep (thick) at the termination.  The crystal appears a very dark inky-blue, almost black, but in strong light, the rich electric-azure-blue faces display well to reveal the true colour of the specimen.  A terrific example of Azurite from Tsumeb.
