Vanadinite on Goethite

ID: CC11972
This Vanadinite on Goethite is a sensational miniature from Taouz in the Meknès-Tafilalet Region of Morocco.  Beautiful and aesthetic apricot orange hexagonal Vanadinite crystals of complex multi-stepped habit are perched close to the apex of a series of sooty dark grey to black Goethite stalactites averaging 3 cm tall.  The Vanadinite crystals are typically 5 to 7 mm in diameter and under low magnification are speckled due to the myriad of individual faces which compose each prism.  A few cruder Vanadinite crystals are also clustered on the specimen’s base.  I love it and I feel many other collectors will too.
