Zincolivenite with Adamite, Willemite and Smithsonite

ID: CC12004

The gently undulating top surface of a plate of massive Dolomite with included sulphide minerals is completely coated with light peppermint-green Zincolivenite crystals to 4 mm. About half of these are richly dusted with clear and colourless micro-acicular Smithsonite crystals. This specimen, from the Tsumeb Mine in the Otjikoto Region of Namibia, also has occasional crystals of Adamite and Willemite over the surface, both are similar shades of yellowish-green, but of different crystallography.  A specimen of striking colour from Tsumeb.
