A really beautiful cabinet specimen of Pyrite with Siderite from the mines of the Trepča Complex within Kosovska Mitrovica, Kosovo. A matrix composed of massive limestone, Pyrite, Galena and minor Chalcopyrite is topped with four metallic, highly lustrous composite crystals of brassy golden Pyrite. These form as rosettes and curved-stepped cubes amongst ribs of pale to golden-tan sheaves of Siderite crystals, 1 to 2 mm across. The largest Pyrite crystal measures 4.2 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm with the remaining three, each, just over one cubic cm. A very attractive and showy Pyrite with Siderite from Trepča.
