Mustardy siskin green prismatic crystals of Pyromorphite measuring up to at least 1 cm form an attractive array over a rusty tan micro-granular Goethite coating across the base. This lovely small miniature is from the wonderfully named Resuperferolitica mine at Minas Viejas in Andalusia, Spain. The Pyromorphite forms regular hexagonal prisms with flat pinacoids which cluster and stack to create an overall complex geometry. The smaller crystals have a bright glassy lustre while the larger prisms tend to range between a matt and satin lustre.
