An aesthetic miniature of gnarled and curled wires of Native Silver with a little attached white Calcite from the mines around the town of Schneeberg in Saxony, Germany. The specimen has been etched out from a white Calcite matrix and the Native Silver is associated with metallic grey Acanthite and iridescent Pyrite. The Native Silver wires are thick with a fibrous, ropy texture and grade from a silver-gold patina to oxidised sooty black tips. A great example of Native Silver from Saxony.
