This fine, acidic lemon to mustard yellow Pyromorphite is from the world famous Roughton Gill mine in the Caldbeck Fells of Cumbria, England. It is accompanied with three labels, one being a Richard W. Barstow green stock label, which probably indicated he collected it, given his extensive record of specimen recovery in this area. The Pyromorphite is a vibrant colour and densely lines the highly vuggy porosity of the milky Quartz veinstone. Two other labels accompany this small cabinet specimen, one ex. the McMullen Collection and an early Crystal Classics label (The Old Linhay, Devon), a collector’s item in itself!
