Chalcophyllite with Malachite

ID: CC12772
A terrific combination of the rare copper arsenate Chalcophyllite with botryoidal Malachite from Wheal Gorland in the parish of Gwennap, east of Redruth, Cornwall.  Rich clusters of hexagonal, turquoise-green Chalcophyllite crystals surround two rounded mounds of Malachite on a gossan matrix of limonitic iron oxides.  A fine small miniature of Chalcophyllite with Malachite from Wheal Gorland.
