Transparent to translucent, pale lemon to golden straw cubic crystals of Fluorite envelope a core of opaque Fluorite from Hilton mine at Scordale in east Cumbria, England, part of the Northern Pennine Orefield. The crystals are formed as both single and interpenetrant twins, developed together in a randomly orientated, domed cluster and measuring up to 2 cm on edge. This is a fine example of yellow Fluorite from this much loved and highly prized locality.
