This spectacular small cabinet specimen of Calcite with Pyrite is from the Príbram Mining District in Central Bohemia, Czech Republic.  A sparkling metallic, golden iridescent druse of Pyrite micro-crystals preferentially encrust a steeply-pyramidal Calcite crystal measuring 7.8 cm tall, with an additional Calcite crystal laying across the base.  A secondary deposit of stubby, nail-head Calcite crystals has formed over the original scalenohedral Calcites and these are surrounded and partially overgrown by the Pyrite.  A showy specimen from Príbram.
