A dark grey andesite lava containing small amounts of purple oxidised likely Bornite with extensive surface coatings of turquoise-green Chrysocolla. The Chrysocolla forms thin earthy crusts which under low magnification have a slight satin lustre. The Chrysocolla is low grade, but is a good representative specimen from Moons Hill quarry, close to Stoke St. Michael in Somerset, England, a basalt quarry which is still in operation. This specimen was collected during the period 2001 to 2004.
