$400.00   €356  £300.00 approx.

This specimen is priced in US dollars, all other prices are approximate.

ID: CC12911
A wedge of light clove-brown Barytocalcite, 4.5 cm long and tapering from 2 cm down to 0.5 cm, set in a matrix of mixed platy Calcite and Witherite from Nentsberry Haggs mine at Nenthead, Alston Moor, Cumbria, England.  The surrounding colourless-grey to milky-white cryptocrystalline matrix (probably a Calcite-Witherite mixture) fluoresces dull mustard-yellow in LWUV; in this specimen the Barytocalcite appears to be non-fluorescent.  The Barytocalcite, a rare anhydrous barium calcium carbonate, occurs as sharp well-developed crystals to about 8 mm.
