A choice and compact miniature of both single and interpenetrant twinned cubic Fluorite crystals dusted with Calcite and Quartz crystals from Heights mine, north of the village of Westgate in Weardale, County Durham, England. Smoky sea green Fluorite crystals up to about 2.2 cm on edge form a tightly intergrown cluster over a core of rusty brown ironstone matrix. The crystals are subtly colour zoned, with almost colourless faces grading to the sea green core and vary between transparent, translucent and, at their centres, opaque. Stubby single and double terminated colourless to milky Quartz crystals are dusted over all surfaces and in one area, creamy double terminated, opaque white Calcite crystals form a 2 x 2 cm cluster. Under LWUV the Fluorite fluoresces bright bluish white. A most attractive miniature Fluorite from the world-famous Heights mine.
