A very good single large Galena crystal from Frazer's Hush mine at Rookhope in Weardale, County Durham, perched on a curved bed of stubby terminated Quartz crystals.  The Galena measures 4.0 x 3.5 x 2.8 cm and forms a cuboctahedral crystal with cube and octahedral faces of similar size.  The highly lustrous metallic silver crystal is composed of multiple smaller crystals and displays both convex and concave faces.  The specimen was formerly in the Michael P. Cooper collection, author of many Mineralogical Record articles and the book, Robbing the Sparry Garniture.
