We now tend to think of fluorite from Heights mine in Weardale as emerald-green, but many beautiful colour variants have been produced in the past.  This most charming large thumbnail has two quite gemmy, almost colourless transparent interpenetrant cubes, tinted a very subtle aquamarine with light mauve-purple zoned faces.  Lightly capping the Fluorite is a small cluster of light grey, pseudohexagonal Calcite crystals.  The specimen is displayed to advantage on a clear acrylic base.
