A beautiful, perfectly formed specimen of coal-black Goethite coating razor-sharp crystals of Cerussite pseudomorphs after Anglesite from the now classic Kintore opencut at Broken Hill South mine, New South Wales, Australia. The pseudomorphed Anglesite crystals could not be more clean-cut, having mirror-smooth faces and superb razor-sharp edges. The Goethite coating is consistently about 0.3 mm thick, forming a perfectly uniform finish as if spray painted and with a most attractive satin sheen. In places along the sides of the specimen, the translucent grey Cerussite interior is visible. This is a remarkably fine example of this association of species from the Kintore opencut.
