Botallackite with Connellite

ID: CC13100
A mixture of electric sky-blue Connellite and emerald-green Botallackite micro-platy crystals cover about 80% of the flat upper surface of iron-stained greyish killas from Geevor mine at Pendeen, St. Just, Cornwall.  Killas is the Cornish mining term for metamorphosed country rock.  The Connellite dominates the specimen because almost the entire crystallised coverage is blue.  A rich specimen from this now flooded mine which extend out underneath the Atlantic Ocean.
