A first-class and impressive display specimen of beautifully crystallised light grey Baryte from Settlingstones mine, between Haltwhistle and Hexham in Northumberland, England.  The Baryte forms a rounded specimen of closely stacked, radiating groups of pale grey chisel point crystals flowing over a central core of matrix.  The matrix is still visible on the back and base of the specimen.  This specimen was collected in 1968 and was formerly in the highly regarded Lindsay Greenbank collection of Northern England minerals.
