Quartz with Chlorite inclusions

This fine and aesthetic group of Quartz crystals is from Cornwall, but exactly where from has gone unrecorded.  The dominant crystal measures 10.4 cm from root to tip and is colourless with a slightly elongated hexagonal cross-section and perfect, four sided pyramidal termination.  Five much smaller well crystallised and terminated Quartz crystals surround this, all emanating from the Hematite stained and included base.  The longest of these smaller crystals is still an impressive 6 cm. The lower sections of all crystals contain sub-millimetre dark greenish grey spherical inclusions of Chlorite.  Despite not knowing the mine or quarry from which it came, this remains a fine, showy and typically Cornish Quartz group.
