A flattened knarled and rusty looking specimen of veinstone Quartz impregnated with Bornite and Chalcopyrite from Carn Brea mine at Illogan, Cornwall, England. The Chalcopyrite occurs as sub-mm druses of equant brassy crystals lining broad shallow vugs.  Metallic peacock-blue patches of granular Bornite and occasional micro-crystals of Bornite sit amongst the Chalcopyrite.  Comes with a Sir Arthur Russell label and is an ex. John Lavin of Penzance stock specimen and ex. Baroness Angela Burdett Coutts collection.
