Fluorite with Siderite

ID: CC13444
This terrific and well-priced cluster of mauve to purple Fluorite crystals rest on a thin bed of light biscuit tan Ankerite (or Siderite) which in turn covers the top surface of a dense grey limestone, rich in micro rhombs of Calcite. The Fluorite forms cubic crystals of typically 2 cm on edge which fluoresce bright lavender white under LWUV and very faint white under SWUV. The specimen is accompanied by a small Grove House Gallery (Keswick) label, a favourite haunt of mine during the 1980s!
