Bright greyish silver intergrown Galena crystals measuring to 3.5 cm with rich purple Fluorite are overgrown, especially the Fluorite, by lustrous, colourless to white Quartz crystals. This small cabinet specimen is from Rotherhope Fell mine on Alston Moor in Cumbria, England, a locality known for its Fluorite and one of the more difficult Northern England localities from which to obtain specimens. The Quartz forms stubby, double terminated crystals with a minimal prism length separating the two terminations. These range from a few millimetres up to about 1 cm. A great example showing the association between these three minerals at Rotherhope Fell mine.
