ID: CC13909
Beautiful cubic crystals of Cuprite intergrown with Native Copper form a porous granular cabinet specimen scattered with opaque milky-Quartz crystals.  This is a great example of Cuprite from Wheal Gorland which worked intermittently between 1792 to 1909, becoming one of Cornwall’s most famous mines. The Cuprite forms translucent claret-red cubic crystals of typically 1 mm on edge and the Native Copper occurs as both granular and complex isometric crystals with a light chocolate-copper patina.
