A splendid, ex-matrix, water-clear and colourless Calcite crystal from Stank mine, near to Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England.  Save for the bottom 1 cm, the entire crystal is gemmy with mirror-smooth prism faces and feint striations on the faces of the termination.  The termination shows very slight bruising, but this is negligible and not apparent.  A great Calcite crystal, so typical of the West Cumbrian iron mines.
