Acanthite

ID: CC14127
A very very old specimen from Cornwall dating from the early 1800’s!! This specimen was researched heavily by Peter Burr and the old handwritten label attached gives amazing provenance!  This label is attributed to being in the St Aubyn collection which was at Clowance House in Cornwall and split up in 1834.  The early producers of acanthite in Cornwall were Wheal Mexico, Wheal Herland Dolcoath, Wheal Duchy, Wheal Bassett and Wheel Brothers – so you take your pick.  A great and rare piece.
