Natrolite on Calcite
ID: CC14146
Dean quarry is towards the eastern extremity of the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, close to the town, and within the parish of, St. Keverne. This quarry has become famous amongst mineral collectors for its fine zeolites and this beautiful bed of snow-white, lustrous acicular Natrolite crystals to 2 cm long is a fine example. The crystals entirely cover a thin yet strong base of pale pink Calcite.
